As soon as the new hire has been issued a UID by Human Resources, their supervisor can submit a request to ISPS to have the person's computer accounts set up. Doing so early will help ensure that the accounts are ready as soon as the person arrives on their first day.
To help us make the process go smoothly, please provide the following information in your request:
- The new hire's full name
- Their UID
- Three choices for a BU login name (what will become their email address, xxx@bu.edu).
- A description of what type of access to network resources this person should have. If they are replacing someone and you'd like them to have the same level of permissions, that information is helpful.

You can submit a support request explaining what you need from the new account (an email mailbox, student worker computer access, etc.) and an ISPS staff member will contact you to discuss options.
